"Life is no straight and easy corridor along which we travel free and unhampered, but a maze of passages, through which we must seek our way, lost and confused, now and again checked in a blind alley. But always, if we have faith, a door will open for us, not perhaps one that we ourselves"

“What you are afraid of is never as bad as what you imagine. The fear you let build up in your mind is worse than the situation that actually exists.”

The above message is very similar to what my last Book “He said, She Said” said.

Honestly, we all know this, and we all are very well aware of the fact that Change is inevitable but still sometimes just keep repeating things in our head or re-reading the same is motivational and helps us to get going as Life moves on and so should we, right?

I read this book decades back for the first time as it was suggested by one of my closest friends. I somehow felt the need of re-reading to remind myself that “Life moves on and so should we”.

It is the amusing and enlightening story of four characters who live in a maze and look for cheese to nourish them and make them happy. Cheese is a metaphor for what you want to have in life, for example a good job, a loving relationship, money or possessions, health or spiritual peace of mind. The maze is where you look for what you want, perhaps the organization you work in, or the family or community you live in. The problem is that the cheese keeps moving.

In the story, the characters are faced with unexpected change in their search for the cheese. One of them eventually deals with change successfully and writes what he has learned on the maze walls for you to discover.

The book has nothing new, we don’t know, and all the three times when I read this, each time I had different perspective towards the book.

Read and decide on your own - do you want to move with Cheese?

"It is safer to search in the maze than to remain in a cheeseless situation"
