Kudos, to Diya Nath for advocating for healthier eating at the age of 14 and giving a voice to our youth!!
She is such an Inspiration to the present Generation.
Healthy Habits for a Healthier You is a short cookbook with 21 smoothie recipes, the book includes not only delicious smoothie recipes, but It is also filled with science-based information on the ingredients and benefits of healthy eating. Every ingredient she used in the smoothie recipes are discussed with their benefits and calorific values and fun facts. The smoothie recipes focus on ingredients for healthy eating for easy digestion and giving you energy.

I am spellbound that a kid in her fourteen knows so much about health. She is a regular kid who is foodie, but her genes didn't let her enjoy most of the food items. Her BMI was higher than acceptable level and she was not able to reduce weight despite she followed diet and active lifestyle but this girl didn't accept this, she researched and conducted experiments, her effort give results in shape of making her healthy and controlled BMI plus as a kid she enjoys her recipes.
It's easy to see her passion for healthy eating and being a health advocate for the younger generation.
The book is organized well with information on making smoothies, the facts and research on the ingredients and their benefits. The recipes are easy to read with only what you need to know to make them. It is easy to flip through them to find the one you would like to make. Each recipe has a simple photo, and while they are appealing, it's not a strong part of the cookbook.
During the times when we mostly choose Junk Food over any healthy food, this book acts as a reminder that it is so much important to choose a healthy food. I already knew these facts from before and was mostly interested in the recipes. However, I got interested in Diya’s story, so I read the book. The recipes look very healthy, balanced, and tasty. I will most definitely try them, because who doesn’t love a good nutritious smoothie. Then comes the main part of the book.

My favorite is Pina Colada. Well it's a book which I am going to keep in my library for years and enjoy the recipes lifelong. What I appreciate most in this book is the detail oriented yet simple way of letting people know the benefits of healthy eating and smoothie making.
Overall a good read for all those who wants to start eating healthy and definitely a great book for the people associated with food.
